+ PEBESWORLD INTERACTIVE 1993

Digital Interactive Media Environment
Featured in The Cyberspace Lexicon book, first of a series by Bob Cotton + Richard Oliver.

The work is an exploration of digital non-linear spatial narratives. The participant is required to intuitively explore the environment and connected interior architectural spaces.

Pebesworld Interactive
was created in 1993 on an Apple MacIntosh II Vi at 640x 480 resolution with 32mb ram and a 80mb HD using Macromedia Director. The 3D spaces were modelled in Swivel-3D, Infini-D and the image editing was done with Photoshop 2. Much of the sound came from a BBC sound effects CD.

For the project I designed a virtual interface through which a journey through experiential environments could be made. The work was completed and exhibited in July 1993 at the Letharby Gallery as final outcome of my postgraduate course at Central St Martins.

I was offered a job working on the Virtual Nightclub as a result of this project. The project was featured in the The Cyberspace Lexicon book written by Bob Cotton and Richard Oliver and designed by Malcolm Garrett.
