Funded Research Project to visit Madurodam model village in Holland, 2002
Film 01: 'Short Film' was made from footage taken over a two day visit to Madurodam in Holland. It attempts to create a narrative through the world in the model to enable imaginative projection into it. We travel there on the motorway, we enjoy the sights, we have an unexpected adventure with problems of scale and take in the fair before returning home at sunset.
Film 02: Model Memory. While discussing the project I met someone who had original 8mm footage of a family visit to the Madurodam in the 1950s and this is a telecine of that footage, taken around 2005.
